Southampton to Frankfurt
British Airways franchise British Regional Airlines has introduced a daily service between Southampton and Frankfurt in a bid to attract business travellers looking for an alternative to the main London airports. Air France has doubled its capacity from Southampton to Paris Charles de Gaulle, meanwhile, with extra early morning and evening flights flown by franchise Brit Air on a 50-seat Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet.
Slovakia-USA open skies
An open skies agreement has been reached between Slovakia and the USA. This is the 41st open skies bilateral air services agreement concluded by the USA.
Rome-Gaza link expected
Alitalia and Palestinian Airlines have signed a commercial agreement that should lead to direct services from Rome to Gaza in Palestine.
Finland to Hong Kong direct
Non-stop flights between Hong Kong from Finland will now be possible, following the signing of a new air services agreement.
