-Sabena has signed a partnership with French airline AOM covering routes between Brussels and the French cities of Toulon, Nice and Marseille, but extending also to French overseas territories, enabling both airlines to offer more frequencies and co-ordinate schedules.

-Japan Airlines (JAL) plans to launch a twice weekly non-stop service from Nagoya to London from 3 April, using a 233-seat Boeing MD-11, increasing its total number of weekly UK services to 18. JAL, in the meantime, is considering acquiring a stake in Hungarian national carrier Malev, as well as entering into a codesharing agreement.

-FedEx is to launch an express freight service to the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen from the end of the year. The US cargo carrier already operates to Beijing and Shanghai from its Asian hub at Subic Bay in the Philippines.

-Air New Zealand and Taiwan's EVA Air have signed a commercial agreement which will see the two airlines offering six direct flights each week between Taipei, Brisbane and Auckland from 29 March.

-Northwest Airlines Cargo has introduced a new twice weekly cargo service from the USA to Manila, Philippines.
