-Delta Air Lines and Venezuela's Aeropostal have agreed to provide codeshare service between Atlanta and Caracas, beginning on 2 April. The deal is subject to government approval.
-United Airlines has selected Air Wisconsin, its new subsidiary, Mountain Air Express, and Great Lakes Aviation, to replace Mesa Airlines on United Express regional services from Denver, Colorado, beginning on 23 April.
-Air France is reinforcing its April 1997 agreement with Royal Air Maroc, (RAM) further co-ordinating timetables and, from April, extending the existing partial codesharing agreement to cover all French and Moroccan destinations served by the two carriers. Air France will later be able to serve points beyond RAM's Casablanca hub to points in Africa.
-Crossair is adding Malaga and Gerona to its network, which will be served from its "EuroCross" hub at EuroAirport Basle Mulhouse Freiburg. A new Lisbon-Basle service will be introduced through a link-up with Portugalia, which will operate the service using its recently delivered Embraer RJ-145s.
