-Air Kilroe is to open direct flights from London Luton Airport to Galway in the west of Ireland on 23 November with 18-seat British Aerospace Jetstreams.

-Canada 3000 is expanding its summer 1999 schedule to include two additional flights from Dublin to Toronto and and an extra weekly service from Gatwick to Montreal, operated by Airbus A330-200s.

-Ansett Australia's codeshare with Taiwan's EVA Air has led to a recent increase in frequency on its Brisbane, Australia-Taiwan services. Ansett has also announced a further addition to its Asia-Pacific network with twice-weekly flights from Sydney to Fiji.

-EVA Air and America West have begun a codesharing agreement which will give EVA passengers, travelling via the San Francisco or Los Angeles gateways, codeshare connections with Phoenix and Las Vegas.

-Delta Air Lines has announced tentative Department of Transportation approval of a codeshare with Air France on services to Johannesburg, South Africa. The arrangement would connect Delta's flights from eight US gateways including New York Kennedy, Cincinnati, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington Dulles with Air France's daily Airbus A340 services to Johannesburg from Paris Charles de Gaulle.

-Gulf Air is to operate three-class flights to four points in Pakistan instead of just serving the capital Karachi, as it does now. The additional services, starting in mid December, will be to Peshawar, Lahore and Islamabad.

-LOT Polish Airlines and British Airways are extending their existing codeshare arrangement with six flights weekly between Krakow and London Gatwick..

-Finnair has extended a codeshare/winter timetable co-ordination agreement with British Airways to enable easy connections to be made at Düsseldorf in Germany, Brussels, Belgium and Copenhagen, Denmark. These will coordinate Finnair flights to Helsinki, Finland with BA flights from London Heathrow.
