Virgin Express will begin serving Berlin Schönefeld from Brussels, London (Stansted and Gatwick) and Rome from November. US Airways will add services between Manchester in the UK and Philadelphia next May. The airline also plans to add daily non-stop flights from its Charlotte hub to Paris and Frankfurt. Swissair has launched five times weekly Zurich-Miami services operated by Boeing MD-11s. Northwest Airlines plans to launch a new daily non-stop service between its hub in Detroit and Honolulu, Hawaii. US Airways Express, operated by Piedmont Airlines, has launched a new three-times daily non-stop roundtrip service between Charlotte, North Carolina and Montgomery, Alabama. British Airways is launching twice-weekly services from London Gatwick to Skopje, Macedonia next month, increasing to three times a week in November. A four times weekly Gatwick-Salzburg, Austria, service will begin in November. From October, Austria's Lauda Air is suspending flights from Vienna to Hong Kong due to declining traffic, and halving flights to Bali from twice to once weekly. Air Canada is launching daily services from Halifax to Washington Dulles in October. American Airlines is beginning nonstop services from Los Angeles to Orlando in December and to Houston Hobby airport next March. The Hong Kong Government has signed an air services agreement with Vietnam, paving the way for increasing air links from the current 14 weekly flights offered by Cathay Pacific and Vietnam Airlines between Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City, and nine between Hong Kong and Hanoi. Singapore Airlines is beginning a cargo service from Singapore to Prestwick, Scotland next month, using a 747-400F. The once-weekly service will route both ways via Sharjah with the return flight also stopping at Copenhagen. Regional Airlines has begun services from Brussels to Le Havre and on to Rennes.
