British Airways is launching a new three times daily route from London Gatwick to Hanover, operated by franchise partner CityFlyer Express. United Airlines is introducing 20 new daily nonstop flights to key Californian business destinations, including Santa Barbara, Medford, Reno, Palm Springs and San Diego, from its Los Angeles hub. Royal Air Maroc has launched twice weekly non-stop flights from London Stansted to Marrakech. From January, National Airlines will begin two daily services between Miami and Las Vegas. Swedish airline Skyways is introducing services between Stockholm Arlanda and Manchester in co-operation with SAS, using an Embraer RJ-145. Sabena is reducing its services on 31st December by around 40%, while operations will be reduced by 60% on 1st January. Ansett Australia will suspend all passenger flights for 13 hours on 31st December from 23.00 (eastern Australia time). Delta Connection Atlantic Southeast will begin non-stop services between Huntingdon and Atlanta next March. German independent OLT is introducing daily services from Bremen to Manchester using Saab 340s. Virgin Atlantic is to start a twice weekly service between London Gatwick and Las Vegas from June 2000. The US Department of Transport (DoT) has approved codesharing between American Airlines and Sabena on services between Brussels and Washington DC, Boston and Chicago. The US DoT has also granted codesharing between American Airlines and Swissair from Zurich to Miami. Air New Zealand and Ansett Australia will codeshare on flights between Sydney and Los Angeles. Ansett will also codeshare with United between Sydney and Los Angeles, and Sydney and San Francisco. Air New Zealand's cargo division and Luxembourg will operate a freighter from Asia to Melbourne, then to Auckland before flying to Los Angeles and Europe, via Portland.
