United Airlines has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DoT) for two additional weekly frequencies between the USA and China. The airline proposes three daily non-stop links between San Francisco/Chicago and China's key cities. United is also launching a twice-daily non-stop service between Toronto and Denver on 4 May, using Boeing 737-300s. Sun Country Airlines has been cleared to provide scheduled routes from Detroit, Dallas/ Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and Austin to locations in Mexico, beginning on 22 May. The routes are subject to Mexican Government approval. Belfast and the Isle of Man are two new destinations served by Jersey European from London City Airport. Flights are being operated by Bombardier Dash 8-200s. Global alliance partners Delta Air Lines and Air France will begin codesharing on the latter's service from Paris to Dakar in Senegal at the end of March. Oneworld partners British Airways and Cathay Pacific have signed a codeshare agreement which takes effect at the end of March on BA flights from London Heathrow to Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester, connecting with Cathay's twice-daily Hong Kong services. Meanwhile, CityFlyer Express, BAs' London Gatwick-based subsidiary, confirms that it will start ATR service to Brussels on 26 March while Gatwick-Hanover will become an all-jet service from 18 April. Lauda Air is dropping its daily London Gatwick-Vienna services this month as it consolidates operations with shareholder Austrian Airlines. Lauda will codeshare on Austrian's flights between Vienna and London Heathrow. Lauda will launch daily flights from Vienna to Istanbul at the end of March. From 7 May, US Airways flights from New York LaGuardia Airport to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach will be operated by low cost subsidiary MetroJet. From June, LaGuardia-Jacksonville services will be flown by MetroJet.
