<li> Air France has begun a codeshare on Grupo Taca's dailyservice between Gautemala and Miami. Taca, meanwhile, has expanded its codeshare agreement with American Airlines to link its Gautemala-Miami service with seven US destinations.

<li> Sabena will begin daily services from Brussels to Dallas/Fort Worth on 6 August, using an Airbus A340-300, codesharing with American Airlines.

<li> Delta Air Lines will launch daily non-stop services between Atlanta, Georgia, and Santiago, Chile, on 1 November. The airline seeks authority to serve Buenos Aires, Argentina, Bogota, Colombia and Montevideo, Uruguay.

<li> UK carrier Sky-Trek Airlines is introducing a new twice daily service from Shoreham in the UK to Le Tourquet in France on 2 June, using a 16-seat Britten-Norman Trislander.

<li> Lufthansa Cityline has introduced a daily service (except Saturdays) from Hanover to Geneva and a weekly Hanover-Venice service.

<li> Continental Airlines will begin non-stop services between New York Newark and Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, in December.

<li> Dragonair started operating twice weekly to Sanya, on the Chinese island of Hainan, on 6 April. The Hong Kong airline is boosting services to Shanghai and Beijing by four weekly frequencies each from 1 June, to 32 and 25 flights respectively, as well as adding a frequency on routes to Chengdu, Fuzhou, Qingdao and Xian.

<li> American Airlines is adding services from Los Angeles and San Jose, California, and reducing services at Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada, to strengthen its West Coast network and improve financial performance. The expansions will add 22 daily departures at Los Angeles and 13 at San Jose, taking the totals to 127 and 67, respectively. Elimination of unprofitable routes will cut daily departures from 33 to 24 at Las Vegas and from 28 to 11 at Reno. American began expanding its West Coast network last year, when it acquired Reno Air.
