Virgin Express will begin three times weekly scheduled services between Brussels and Malaga, Spain on 10 December. The airline is finalising talks with major tour operators which are keen to buy capacity on the new service. Delta Air Lines and Colombian carrier ACES have signed a letter of intent to explore joint co-operation, including codesharing. Delta has been awarded authority to operate a daily Atlanta-Bogota service from 4 December using a Boeing 757. Solomon Airlines resumed services on 10 October between Honiara and Australia. Flights were suspended in June when Qantas withdrew the Boeing 737-300 it dry leased to the airline when the region was declared a war zone after a coup. Northwest Airlines and KLM will launch a joint daily Miami-Amsterdam service on 1 April, using a Northwest McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30. Emirates will introduce daily, non-stop services between Dubai and Zurich in January using Airbus A330s. Three of the six weekly Zurich flights currently route via Istanbul, but from January the Turkish city will have four non-stop flights each week. Continental Airlines will launch daily non-stop Boeing 757 flights between London Stansted and New York Newark from 2 May , subject to government approval. Singapore Airlines Cargo is to run a daily Boeing 747-400 freighter service between Singapore and Los Angeles. Flights to San Francisco will run four times a week, of which three will route via Los Angeles. AeroMexico has begun two weekend flights between Acapulco and Atlanta via Monterrey, Mexico flown by an AeroMexico MD-80 with a Delta codeshare. US Airways Express adds Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to its route network on 11 December. Daily regional jet flights will go to the airlines' hub at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Air Canada adds a second daily non-stop flight between Phoenix and Toronto from October.
