Syrian Arab Airlines has inaugurated a weekly service between Syria and Amsterdam and Brussels. The flight operates from Damascus to Amsterdam and returns to Aleppo in Syria via Brussels. Continental Airlines will start a twice daily service from Richmond to Houston Bush Intercontinental on 1 November using 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145s. Meanwhile, it launched seasonal daily service between its Houston hub and Montreal on 1 June, using a Boeing 737-500. It has also extended its codesharing with KLM until May next year and expanded the agreement to include selected flights beyond Amsterdam operated by KLM and its subsidiaries which connect with Continental's Houston-Amsterdam flights. KLM will start twice weekly services from Amsterdam Schiphol to Abuja, Nigeria, on 15 August using a Boeing 767-300ER. American Airlines will add its code to Swiss flights beyond Paris Charles de Gaulle to Berne, Geneva, and Zurich; beyond Brussels to Basle and Zurich; and beyond Zurich to Bologna, Gothenburg, Oslo, Milan, Rome, Turin, and Venice. American also plans to begin daily services between Los Angeles and Toyko on 1 April, 2003, pending government approval. Oneworld members British Airways and Finnair will expand codeshare arrangements to include BA flights from London Heathrow to Cape Town, Johannesburg, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver and selected Finnair flights, including Helsinki to Oslo and Gothenburg. America West has begun daily Airbus A320 flights between Las Vegas and Mexico City. Delta Air Lines has started codesharing with SkyTeam partner Air France on flights from between Paris and Delhi and will start codeshares with fellow SkyTeam carrier Alitalia between Milan and Mumbai on 1 July. Air France plans to codeshare on Delta's Paris-Mumbai flights from 27 June. JetBlue Airways has begun three times daily flights between New York Kennedy and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
