VG Airlines has introduced a three-times weekly service from Brussels to Los Angeles. The Belgian airline will also start a service to Yerevan, Armenia, on the aircraft's return leg. Armenian Airlines will discontinue its services to Amsterdam and Frankfurt and provide crew for VG flights. VG has also signed an interline agreement with Air New Zealand for onward connections from Los Angeles to seven Pacific destinations.

Emirates will double its services between Dubai and Munich. It will add five more flights a week from 27 October and two more from 31 March next year to make the service twice-daily.

Ryanair has expanded activities from its Brussels South Charleroi hub, adding daily services to Liverpool and Rome Ciampino Airport last week.

Italy's Gandalf Airlines has started a direct service between its hub at Orio al Serio Airport and Brussels from 6 June.
