From 30 March, KLM will operate a daily roundtrip service between Amsterdam and Casablanca in Morocco using a Boeing 737-400. The Dutch flag carrier is to add non-stop services to Cape Town from October. It has signed a codeshare agreement with South African airline Comair, adding destinations Durban and Port Elizabeth to its network from 11 January.

Thai Airways International has begun operating three-times weekly flights on the Bangkok-Chiang Mai-Chittagong, Bangladesh, route using Boeing 737-400s.

Qantas is to add three weekly Chicago services to and from its Los Angeles hub from 31 March. The flights will be added to its Los Angeles-New York services as extensions of Melbourne-Los Angeles flights, and will also offer links at Los Angeles with Qantas flights from Auckland, Sydney and Brisbane, using Boeing 747s.

Virgin Atlantic is to serve Port Harcourt, Nigeria, from London Gatwick using an Airbus A340-300. The twice-weekly service will begin on 25 February.
