Royal Jordanian Airlines' board of directors has appointed Abdul Rahman Al Khatib as interim president and chief executive.
Al Khatib will hold the position until a full-time replacement for outgoing president and CEO Hussein Dabbas is appointed, assuming the incumbent's duties "in case of his absence".
Dabbas leaves the flag carrier on 1 June, taking up his new role as IATA's regional vice-president for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
