Salute the Royal Saudi Air Force, making its first-ever foreign visit to an air show.
Dubai 2000 has pulled off a master stroke in attracting representatives of the Gulf's leading air force.
The show is playing host to the RSAF, in the shape of a Panavia Tornado IDS and the British Aerospace Hawk Mk 65.
Little wonder that flight engineer Abdulrahman Al Balawi is a happy man: the two aircraft are generating tremendous excitement at the show.
"The Saudis are showing solidarity with Dubai 2000 and supporting BAe," says a BAe spokesman.
The interdiction strike version of the Tornado and the Hawk trainer can be seen on the flight line near the BAe pavilion.
The RSAF operates 78 Tornado IDS, 12 reconnaissance Tornados, 24 air defence versions of the Tornado and 33 Hawks.
