The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) plans to establish a small KC-135R training base at McConnell AFB, Kansas. The decision is the result of Singapore's purchase of four Boeing KC-135Rs from the USA through foreign-military-sales channels. RSAF training sites exist at Luke AFB, Arizona (F-16), and at Grand Prairie, Texas (CH-47). The RSAF KC-135R training detachment will become operational in 1998 following final US and Singapore Government approvals.
