The Russian air force will receive around 20 new and upgraded aircraft this year, including 10 modernised Sukhoi Su-27s and two Tupolev Tu-160s, says commander-in-chief Vladimir Mikhailov. The service will also introduce the Mil Mi-24PN assault helicopter this year and complete flight tests of the upgraded Su-24, he says.
