Russian carrier S7 Airlines is to receive two Airbus A320 full-flight simulators for its training centre at Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

Both will be supplied by manufacturer Thales. The company says they will be the first full-flight devices for the carrier’s training operation.

The first will be ready by December this year, it adds, while the second will become available in the fourth quarter of 2009.

S7 Airlines training centre director Oleg Vasiliev says: “The first of these will be only the second level-D full-flight simulator in all of Russia.

“Inclusion of the simulators in our new training centre demonstrates our determination to provide the safest, most modern and efficient crew training.”

S7 Airlines operates both Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft and has several more A320-family jets on order.
