RwandAir has agreed to C$15 million ($13.6 million) to C$25 million in financing from Export Development Canada (EDC) for Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft.
The export credit financing likely covers the Q400 registered 9XR-WL (MSN 4464) that was delivered to the carrier on 25 February, Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database shows.
RwandAir has no additional Q400 deliveries scheduled this year, according to Ascend.
The airline was not immediately available for comment and Bombardier declines.
The list value of a Q400 is about $32.7 million, according to previous statements by the airframer.
EDC previously provided RwandAir with export credit financing for two Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft that were delivered in 2012.
