Grintek and Saab are augmenting their partnership with the formation of a new business unit, Grintron Integrated Defence Solutions (GRIDS). GRIDS employs 25 people in Centurion, South Africa, and is working on the development of command and control systems for the South African air defence network. The unit will become part of Grintron - which includes Avitronics, Grintek Communication Systems and Logtronics - of which Grintek owns 51% and Saab 49%.
