Saab Aircraft is to make 540 workers redundant in Sweden. Company president Hans Kruger says that the "order book requires Saab to adapt itself and its resources to lower volumes. Saab 2000 and 340 production will be maintained at 1995 levels. The company now employs 6,000 people.
