Saab Aircraft Leasing has secured its second cargo customer with an order for two Saab 340 Cargo aircraft to US carrier Alpine Aviation. The aircraft will service a new multiyear contract with the US Postal Service transporting all inter-island mail throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Both Saab 340s will be delivered by the end of this summer.
Castle Aviation of Akron/Canton became the launch customer for the Saab 340 Cargo version in the spring of this year. Saab Aircraft Leasing has also concluded a deal to deliver a Saab 340A to Empire Airways at the end of this summer for group charters and corporate shuttle flights.
