The remaining subsidiaries of bankrupt Belgian flag carrier Sabena were sold last week, with German airline Lufthansa taking over Sabena Catering and Sabena Ground Handling, while Spanish building and services group Formento de Construcciones y Contrates acquired Sabena Cargo. Amounts raised have not been disclosed. The receiver has to ensure as much compensation as possible for Sabena creditors, believed to be owed around €3 billion ($2.9 billion).
