Smogasprop executives challenge the logic of the mandatory, and very expensive, security upgrades for small regional turboprops such as reinforced cockpit doors. Magnus Saabstrom says: "It won't enhance revenue. In fact, more are saying it won't increase safety at all because it won't be economical to operate turboprops on even short-haul flights. That means more people will start driving and then the safety argument becomes rather hollow."
