Helping to raise the low levels of airline safety achieved in developing countries should be a principal objective for the International Federation of Airline Pilots Associations, it was agreed at its annual conference in Dublin, Ireland. The Federation says that 20 major airlines own half of the world's fleet, yet have fewer, than one-in-five of all hull-loss accidents.
