A Lion Air Boeing 737-900ER suffered damage to its left wing after striking a lamp pole at Bengluku's Fatmatwati Soekarno airport on 7 November.
The low-cost carrier says the jet, registered PK-LGY, was being guided by an aircraft movement controller when it hit the pole. It was due to operate as flight JT633 from Bengluku to Jakarta, with a scheduled departure time of 18:20 local time.
Lion says its pilots were following instructions from the controller to move the jet from the apron onto the taxiway when the incident happened. None of the 143 passengers and seven crew members were injured. The passengers were subsequently flown to Jakarta on a replacement aircraft.
Videos on Indonesian news websites show that the damage is close to the jet's left winglet.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that the jet was built in 2010, and owned by Northern Sky Investments 1B LLC. Lion operates 63 Boeing 737-900ERs.
