Images have emerged of the aftermath of a serious ramp accident involving a fuel truck which appears to have struck two American Eagle Bombardier CRJ900s at Dallas-Fort Worth.
Images have emerged of the aftermath of a serious ramp accident involving a fuel truck which appears to have struck two American Eagle Bombardier CRJ900s at Dallas-Fort Worth.
The truck came to rest with the left-hand wing-tip of one CRJ – identified as Mesa Airlines’ N945LR – embedded in its cab, the vehicle having sustained serious damage during the impact.
This aircraft was parked adjacent to another Mesa CRJ900, N915FJ, which has also suffered damage to its right-hand wing-tip, notably the winglet.
The former CRJ is a 2004 airframe while the latter was produced in 2006, Cirium fleets data show.
US fuelling specialist Allied Aviation’s markings feature on the fuel truck, according to video images of the scene circulating on social media.
Circumstances of the accident have not been disclosed.
Both aircraft had arrived in Dallas on 25 November – N945LR from Albuquerque and N915FJ from McAllen – and appear to have been parked in the vicinity of the airport’s gate B37.
