A Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737-800 has reportedly crashed after taking off from Tehran.
The aircraft, operating flight PS752 bound for Kiev, was carrying 180 passengers and crew, according to local media reports.
While details surrounding the crash are unclear, some reports have pointed to “technical problems” as its cause.
The airline has yet to respond to a request for comment.
Iran’s civil aviation authorities told the Associated Press that an investigation team has been sent down to crash site. State television also reported emergency services officials as saying that there were no survivors from the crash.
Flight tracking sites indicate that contact was lost at 06:44 local time to the northwest of the airport, roughly six minutes into the flight.
Cirium’s schedules data indicates the aircraft operating the route is registered UR-PSR (MSN 38124). Ukraine International took delivery of the narrowbody in 2016.
