Safire Aircraft has announced additional suppliers for the entry-level Safire Jet, set for first flight next year and certification in 2006. Wichita, Kansas-based Lee Aerospace will provide cabin transparencies; Addison, Texas-based Keith Products the environmental control system; and Merrimac, New Hampshire-based Kollsman the automatic cabin pressurisation controls. Apex Engineering is supplying the wing, empennage and nacelles; Metalcraft Technologies the fuselage; Williams International the engines; and Avidyne the avionics.
