Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) has chosen the International Aero Engines (IAE) V2500 as the powerplant for the 20 Airbus Industrie A320-family aircraft ordered last year. The deal is worth $240 million. SALE has now chosen the V2500 for all A320-family aircraft either delivered or in service, apart from two A320s acquired on a sale and lease-back basis from Iberia in Spain. Those are powered by CFM International CFM56 engines.
