KTX II

The KTX-II is the planned indigenous replacement for the South Korean air force T-33As and T-37Cs. Initial design began in 1992. The in-service date is planned for 2005. Lockheed Martin has emerged as Samsung's preferred partner for the project. The design is for a two-seat, a supersonic aircraft fitted with and a single 71kN-class augmented turbofan.
