Sir - I refer to a Comment page earlier this year ("Strength and Weakness, Flight International, 17-23 January). Airlines are not securing bodies. If a passenger with a valid ticket passed the security and immigration checks, no airline would know anything about that person's identity. Sanctions are to be imposed on Sudan Airways and Sudanese-registered airlines, via a United Nations resolution, which are far from fair, and set a dangerous precedent.
