Lockheed Martin's Sanders unit and ITT Avionics have teamed to bid for the integrated defensive electronic-countermeasures (IDECM) system to be used to defend US military aircraft, including the US Navy's McDonnell Douglas F-18E/Fs. Under the teaming arrangement, Sanders would serve as the prime contractor. Both firms supply the Pentagon with electronic-warfare systems.
