Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has taken delivery of the first of four Airbus A330-300s. The Rolls-Royce Trent 700-powered aircraft were ordered in April 2000 in a deal which included seven A340-300s that have already been delivered to replace the airline's Boeing 767s. The second A330 will be delivered in October, with the two remaining aircraft due by early 2004. The 261-seaters will initially be deployed on North Atlantic services from its Copenhagen hub, with flights from Stockholm being added next year.
