Oil and gas producer Saudi Aramco has again selected MTU for engine maintenance, awarding the German provider a deal covering the General Electric CF34-8Es powering its Embraer 170 fleet.
The five-year contract covers on- and off-wing maintenance, says MTU.
MTU has been servicing CFM International CFM56-7B engines for Saudi Aramco’s aviation arm since 2003.
That operation comprises more than 40 fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters used for passenger, freight and medevac flights as well as oil spill spraying missions, MTU says.
The fleet includes four Boeing 737-700s, a 767-300ER and three E170s, Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database shows.
