KLM has agreed to sell its 51%interest in KLMERA Helicopters to Schreiner Aviation, a long-standing Dutch player in the international off-shore market. Schreiner says that it is prepared to take over the remainder of KLMERA which is now held by US investor, the Rowan Companies. The re-organised helicopter company will operate within the Dutch and UK off-shore market under the name Northsea Helicopters. KLM says that the sale was prompted by its move to concentrate on core businesses and rapid consolidation in the world helicopter-operator market.
