I was interested to read in "Public enemy" (Flight International, 23-29 September) that "the only European helicopter airlines which are viable are Copperline and Heli Air Monaco".

Perhaps you had forgotten the world's longest-operating helicopter airline, British International, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary in May 2004. The Penzance to the Isles of Scilly route has carried 3 and a half million passengers and provides a year-round lifeline service to the islands.
