Two new Scottish leisure airlines launched European operations last week. The services of Air Scotland, which is flying from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, are being run by Electra Airlines of Greece under a five-year contract, initially using two Boeing 757-200s. Meanwhile, Scottish tour operator Globespan has launched summer-only low-fare services from Edinburgh and Prestwick with a Boeing 737-300.
