The Royal New Zealand Navy has taken delivery of four ex-US Navy Kaman SH-2F Seasprite anti-submarine warfare helicopters. The first aircraft was delivered to the navy flight at Hobsonville in November, with the remaining three arriving in early December. The SH-2Fs will provide an interim anti-submarine warfare capability, replacing the RNZN's obsolete Westland Wasp, before the arrival of the five S-H2G Super Seasprites it has on order. The S-H2Fs will enter service in March 1998.
