Dassault Aviation flew the second Falcon 7X long-range business jet test aircraft from its Merignac, Bordeaux facility on 5 July.
The aircraft was airborne for 2h 15min on its first flight, and was ferried to Dassault’s flight-test centre in Istres the following day. It will be primarily used for systems certification.
By 6 July the 7X test programme had accumulated 27 flights and 65 flight hours. A third aircraft is due to enter flight testing in September.
US Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency certification are targeted for late 2006.
