Following the 24 February murder of the Swiss Skyguide air traffic controller who was on duty when a collision took place between two airliners over southern Germany, Swiss police say they have offered protection to the other controller who was on duty but taking a break. Police have since arrested a man, whose wife and two children were among the 69 people killed in the Bashkirian Airlines Tupolev Tu-154 when it collided with a DHL Boeing 757 freighter on 1 July 2002.
