ImageBase Technology (Hall 2, Stand B2) is demonstrating its Photophone 98 system for sending video or still images across telephone lines, networks or radio links.

The system is fully interactive and allows either party to add text or zoom into any part of the image. An on-screen pointer lets you highlight items of interest on the screen and images can be captured by a range of video or digital cameras. While the image is being transmitted both parties can still talk to each other.

The system is finding many uses in the industry, especially where images of faulty components or crash sites need to be transferred.
