Serco Defence & Aerospace has withdrawn from a UK Ministry of Defence contest to become training systems integrator for the planned UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS), citing "continued uncertainty as to whether MFTS will move forward as described and delays in other MoD bids". Former consortium partner BAE Systems also withdrew from the competition last month.
