The satellite operator SES reported its recurring revenue for 2011 which had been adjusted for exchange rate effects grew 2.8% to €1.735 million relative to 2010 with its recurring EBITDA for 2011 of €1.294 million which represent a growth of 3.1% over the previous year. Operating profit was up 1.4% to €808.2 million.
US satellite television operator DirecTV reported revenues up to $27.2 billion, up 12.9% over the previous year. Operating profit was $4.6 billion which was up 18.8%. Meanwhile, the Thai satellite operator, Thaicom, reported total revenue from its satellite services was 5.7 billion Thai baht, representing a 24% increase over 2010. Much of the increase was due to its Ipstar broadband satellite service.
