Flight-testing of a Boeing 707-300 re-engined with four Pratt & Whitney JT8D-219s began on 9 August from San Antonio, Texas. According to Omega Air, a partner in programme manager Seven Q Seven, four flights have been completed and testing is on schedule to complete the required 350h of flying by February. US Federal Aviation Administration certification is due by mid-2002.
