Seven of the world's leading aerospace companies have now signed up as sponsors for The 1999 Aerospace Industry Awards, organised by Flight International. Bombardier, CFM International, Lockheed Martin, Lucas Aerospace, Rockwell Collins, Sextant Avionique and Smiths Industries have committed to supporting the event, scheduled to culminate in a gala dinner on 14 June, 1999, during the Paris air show.
The Awards, set up to recognise excellence and achievement in the aerospace industry, cover 10 categories: Air Transport, Avionics, Corporate and General Aviation, Engineering, Systems and Components, Infrastructure, Maintenance and Modification, Military Aviation, Propulsion, Space, Training and Safety and the Aerospace Personality Of The Year Award.
