Struggling Irish third party maintenance provider Shannon Aerospace is to receive a I£24 million ($38 million) capital injection, of which I£12 million will come from the Irish government over the next two years following European Commission approval. The other half comes from lessor GPA, which recently sold its 30 per cent stake in Shannon to Lufthansa Technik and Swissair, both of which now hold 50 per cent.
