The world's general aviation industry flocked to the Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin from 27 July to 2 August. With confidence returning to the market and the fortuitous timing of the release of the final US sport pilot/light-sport aircraft rule only days earlier, the mood at the annual event was upbeat. More than 750,000 visitors, 800 exhibitors and 12,000 aircraft were at the show where the news was dominated by company relaunch and rebranding initiatives, programme development and aircraft upgrades. Kate Sarsfield reports.
