SINGAPORE AIRLINES (SIA) has ordered a Learjet 45 full-flight simulator from FlightSafety International (FSI). The Level D simulator will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 1997. SIA is acquiring Learjet 45 business jets to replace Learjet 31s used for pilot training, and already has a Learjet 31 simulator supplied by FSI.

The US training company, meanwhile, is bolstering its own business-jet simulator fleet. The first Cessna Citation X full-flight simulator has been installed at FSI's Citation training centre in Wichita, Kansas, which has been expanded to accommodate five additional machines, including a second CitationJet, second Citation Ultra and the first Citation Excel simulators, now under construction at FSI's Tulsa, Oklahoma, plant.

The first Dassault Falcon 2000 simulator, complete with head-up display, has been certificated at Tulsa and will be installed at FSI's Teterboro, New Jersey, training centre in August. The first Learjet 45 simulator will be delivered to FSI's Tucson, Arizona, training centre in December. All three Level D simulators will be equipped with FSI's Vital Chromaview visual.
