Singapore Airlines Cargo has started a weekly freighter service to Atlanta.
It will operate a Boeing 747-400F on the service, says the carrier.
The flight from Singapore will be routed via Hong Kong, Anchorage and Los Angeles. The return flight will be via Brussels and Sharjah.
"This service will directly link Atlanta to its export markets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia," says SIA Cargo's senior vice president for sales and marketing Tan Tiow Kor.
The carrier operated ad-hoc charter services to Atlanta in September 2009 before deciding on a scheduled service.
