Singapore Airlines (SIA) is to add Macau to one of the two dedicated freighter services it operates to New York from Singapore after the opening of its upcoming summer timetable.

An SIA spokesman says the carrier will substitute the Taipei stop on one of its two weekly services to New York from Singapore via Taipei, Anchorage and Chicago to a Macau stopover.

He says one of the two Boeing 747-400 freighters SIA currently operates on the route will continue to serve the Taiwanese capital, Taipei on its way to New York, however.

The spokesman says the transfer will be linked to SIA's summer timetable.
